'Our Stories of Resilience Series provides insights into the ways that knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences is changing lives and professional practice throughout Scotland. In this episode, we hear from Susanne McCafferty, Headteacher of Bainsford Primary School in Falkirk. She describes a range of strategies her school has put in place to address children’s needs, all of which have an awareness of relationships at their core. These include: taking down Behaviour Charts, doing away with Behaviour Policies and gifting Attachment Bracelets to families where children struggle to separate from their parents. She believes that after only one year of this new way of working, they are already changing the destinations her children have in their grasp.'
